Anne Ryan, Deputy Secretary, Tourism, Department of Community and Economic Development
The power of brands has always fascinated me. When a brand is built to be meaningful and relevant, it has the ability to remind us of our values, impact cultural trends, confront tensions, and create community. As for me, I've been living and breathing the world of marketing for 20+ years. I began my career developing marketing programs for Citibank and Capital One. Then, I went agency-side and learned all things digital, which is where I became obsessed with the brand experience. So, I decided to focus exclusively on brand strategy at Brownstein Group, where I nerd out on brands such as IKEA, XFINITY, Wawa, Humana, TruGreen, DuPont, Western Union, GIANT, NJM, and Philadelphia's Global Identity. I lead with conviction. I love my team. And, I'm relied on by my clients. I believe I have a responsibility to build brands in such a way that helps people find and connect with products and services that will transform their lives.
