Pennsylvania Day
National Pennsylvania Day is an annual observance that is celebrated on July 20th. In partnership with supporters across the Commonwealth, America250PA designates this day as our volunteer component of the A250PA initiative.
We hope to grow this volunteer effort each year leading up to and including 2026. America250PA recognizes the impact that volunteerism has on our communities, and we are committed to encouraging every resident to participate.

Pennsylvania Day 2023
In 2023, America250PA was proud to partner with The GIANT Company and Natural Food Group in support of Feeding Pennsylvania. 248 volunteers packed 4,842 boxes and 22,819 lbs of goods!

In addition to working with Feeding Pennsylvania in 2023, America250PA also partnered with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful to include projects such as community cleanups, revitalization efforts, and more in order to prepare the Commonwealth for the influx of visitors expected in 2026. America250PA, with the generous support of EQT Corporation and in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, awarded $18,900 in support of 11 projects that aim to improve communities and engage more volunteers. In 2022, America250PA partnered with Feeding Pennsylvania and Natural Food Group again to staff 15 food bank sites across the Commonwealth. In total, PA Day volunteers packed 8,993 boxes of food, prepared 958 meals, sorted 9,000 lbs of produce and frozen donations, and filled 372 volunteer shifts!

Pennsylvania Day 2021 – Launch
America250PA's 2021 National Pennsylvania Day Initiative
In 2021, with the help of A250PA Sponsor, Natural Food Group, and many #EPIC volunteers, America250PA partnered with Feeding Pennsylvania and their nine member food banks to staff 11 sites and package over 8,000 boxes of food for Pennsylvanians in need.
